Senate Appropriators Aim to Fix Bureau of Land Management’s Broken Wild Horse Program- $11 million was appropriated to administer fertility control vaccines to humanely control wild horse populations. To date, the BLM has declined to implement effective fertility control measures, opting instead to control herds through helicopter roundups that separated family bands and resulted in horse injuries and deaths.
